Frequently Asked Questions

I want to renovate my house- what is my next step?

We start with an in home consult so that we can see the space and get a feel for your needs and wants. From there we will put together a ball park quote and 2D layout for your review. If approved, our next step would be to take a retainer and create a detailed budget along with detailed plans. It’s during this process that we would also sit down with our interior design team and put all the pieces together. Once all all details have been finalized, we would then ask for a deposit and start scheduling and planning!

Do you only do luxury wood work?

We do it all! From small kitchens, to million dollar homes. What we won’t do is compromise quality no matter what your budget is. If our name is on it, we will not cut corners or sacrifice quality for quantity. You can be assured that you will get only the best, regardless of size.

How much will by kitchen cost?

This is a question we get often and one that we cannot answer. There are so many variables in kitchen design that affect the cost, it would be impossible to try to guess prior to drawing it our and knowing your design choices. Factors that will affect costs are wood species, hardware choices, kitchen automation, built in storage solutions, and other details.

I don’t live in Calgary. Are you willing to travel?

Absolutely! We are based in Calgary but routinely do work in Airdrie, Red Deer, Cochrane and Canmore. Give us a call to discuss your needs.

What can I expect at our first meeting and is there a cost to come to our home?

Our first meeting is all about getting to know one another. We will sit down and discuss your needs, and take some measurements to take back with us in order to begin the design process. We ask clients to have photos of things they like as well as things they don’t like in order to give us some direction on style. Our first visit is complimentary and is as much an interview for you as it is for us to ensure we are a good fit.

We want to move forward. What can we expect after our initial consultation?

Following our initial consultation, we will give you a rough estimate of what your project will costs. We will have a linear drawing of our proposal for your to review. If you choose to move forward, we would take a deposit and continue with elevations and renderings. Should you choose to have an interior design consultation, we can schedule this for a fee, prior to production.

What types of payments do you accept and when will I need to issue payments?

Currently, we are only able to accept cheques. We will require a 30% non refundable deposit before we begin production, 30% after the installation of all boxes and the balance is due on receipt once we install the doors and install the hardware.

Do you have a show room?

We currently do not have a showroom. We have a meeting and design space at our shop where we can discuss options and is by invitation only. We keep our costs low in order to be able to pass the best pricing onto our customers. We don’t have a fancy office or drive fancy cars. We get dirty like all our employees and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Administrative costs only increase productions costs.
